The first woman who travelled to the south pole.
This teacher, skier, adventurer and norwegian leader, was the first woman to lead the first expedition composed of female travelers who crossed the ice cap in Greenland in 1992.
She also traveled to the south pole in 1994, becoming the fist woman to do so, but, she went completly alone and went trought 1,200 km of snow and ice.
